Tanya “T6” Dormevil was discovered by multi-platinum producer Dame Grease during a BMI Open Mic. Born in Mt. Vernon, NY and raised in Harlem, Tanya began singing in a gospel choir at a young age. By age 16, Tanya moved to Bridgeport, CT and began taking dance lessons at Broadway Dance Center, where she studied all forms of dance including hip-hop, house, breaking, and ballet.

With a story similar to Justin Bieber and So So Def’s Dondria, In 2006 Tanya posted a video of a performance on YouTube for her family and friends to see. While getting an overwhelming amount of good reviews from fans, she continued to upload videos of herself singing covers of R&B songs and her popularity on the site grew.
