Tantrum T-A™ Biography

Tantrum T-A (born January 12, 1991), also known as Tantrum Tha Antagonistik and alter ego Klyde B, is a Belizean-American Hip-Hop/Rap Artist, songwriter, and producer from Inglewood, California. Tantrum has always been musically inclined since his adolescent years. “I was blessed with the art of music inclination by my father; An aspiring vocalist, drummer and saxophonist.” -Tantrum T-A

As a toddler, Tantrum would sit for hours and listen to various genres of music, and study the tunes and rhythms passionately. He’d bang on pots, pans, and Tupperware bowls throughout the house, as he compared the various sounds, and created unique rhythms and simple melodies. It wasn’t until September of 1996, that he was formally introduced to Hip Hop culture.

“Tupac had just died and my brother was playing all of his songs. I sat and listened as my brother recited all the songs verbatim. I was in awe with the emotion and passion that he sang with, as he connected with each of Pac’s songs. I was also fascinated with the way Pac converted poetic stories, into actual music. Once my brother informed me that Hip Hop had lost its greatest M.C, I made a decision at that moment to pick up where he left off.”

At the young age of 6 Tantrum started writing raps and making beats fluently. He would use it as an outlet of emotion. By the time he was 9, he had wrote over 400 raps. During this period of time it was nothing more than a mere hobby, but soon it would escalate into an essential part of his life. In 2001 at the age of 10, Tantrum was given the opportunity to perform at the grand opening of his uncle’s performing arts center in Long Beach, CA named Families United Performing Arts (FUPA) Center. After performing in front of a large crowd for the first time ever and receiving good feedback, a lyrical problem arose.

10 years later, that problem still stands. At the age of 20, Tantrum has already dropped 6 solo mixtapes independently and expanded his buzz to overseas where he has attracted the ear and attention of legendary German do “DJ Cheddar.” With so many future projects under construction, as well as his achievements as an independent underground artist, Tantrum T-A is ready to make a major impact on the music industry as well as the world.
